The places I've explored or am aware of are....

-Imtrex Commodities (toxic waste!!!)
-Lister Block (to be explored shortly)
-Dominion Glass (not sure about this place yet - may be used for storage)
-Welland Canal Lock #7 control building

I'm currently searching the hamilton industrial area (north end) for exploration sites. I have several possible locations that I'm currently working on. I'll advise names, locations, and status as more information becomes available. My advice is to check out Lister Block (old office building with ground floor retail shops and basement recreation facilities) as it has been owned for the last few years by L.I.U.N.A. (this company restores old structures for new use)

There is nothing much to explore in industrial area. I put so much miles on my car driving around every street to find something. If they even demolished tanker near the bridge. Something like a factory will not stop them. But there are few placed which are interesting. Firstable something like movie or bar near the police station. Then there is something like warehouse. Then one school near bay st. And one small factory or large garage... Have no idea of their names.

Ok I found out the address of that other buildings: One is on intersection
of Catherine Street North and King William Street. 3 blocks from Jackson Square.
No clue how to get there. There are brocken windows on the second floor. Looks like club.Other one on intersection of Augusta St and Walnut St South. Hmmmm looks like Warehouse.

Ok proper address of One of the buildings is 80-80A King William Street. Known as "The Old Spectator Building". City has a plans to turn it into apartments.

http://www.city.hamilton.on.ca/CityDepartments/clerk/public/2001/cow/mar28/PD01052.pdf

Well I say good luck. Also came across some docs about "Lister Block" together with a list of other ones under "Designated Buildings"
http://www.city.hamilton.on.ca/CityDepartments/Plan&Develop/longrange/stats/DesignatedBuildingListing 1-7.pdf

BTW. I took a trip to Lister Block to take a look around.
BTW2. Nvr2loud if you want to double our effort I'm always ready

LOL... I missed a line. They are planing to turn it into apartments....good luck.

Designated is a strange word. But together with a building forms "Heritage Building" Which is Buidling under Heritage protection. Like Whitby Psy. De-Designited means that it will be demolished. I love that language....aghrr...

Yeah, I believe that L.I.U.N.A. owns Lister Block as-of 1999. They have the resources to restore almost any old structure and turn it into a building that generates a profit. for example: the old train station... known now as LIUNA Station.

Thanks for the explanation

oakville:
country squire inn, near towne centre 2, kerr + dorval

go during night,
make sure no one is around or smoking up in the parking lot
go through the basement door
make sure you're lights don't shine out, you'll get fined.

some old warehouse, near the oakville go station.
just follow cross avenue past trafalgar, go through the yard with the construction equipment, goto the far east end of the yard, go towards the fence, go through my fancy schmancy fence hole, and bolt to the warehouse.
gothrough the hole i busted in the bay door, and explore

bring some kind of dustmask
lots of pigeon shit.
long sleev shirts aswell

note: lots of demolishment due to my birthday party and about 25 drunk burlington drainers, we love to drain, but warhouses are much more fun.

feel free to sign the wall in my room (one with intact windows, and MATT written on the walls, in the office area)

people might want to read the first paragraph under "our community within brantford" tells of a site which may be rewarding to scout.

Also, I was passing through "Binbrook" south of Hamilton over the holidays, and I noticed an abandoned warehouse/garage looking building. Hamiltonians might want to take a look, little far for me to drive just for that.
