| | | There's an area near an abandonment down here that is, off the beaten path you could say. Only problem is that there is maybe 20ft. to 30ft. of tall, dry grass, and I know for sure that cottonmouth snakes live in the area. Any ideas how to get from point A to B without getting bit?

| | | I'm no expert on snakes, but as I understand it, they feel vibrations in the ground, and are more prone to leaving than fighting. So... STOMP.

| | | Snakes are more afraid of you than you are of them. Wear good boots and two or three pairs of socks and you should be good. You need to worry about ticks more than snakes.

Here's some grass for you. The photo was taken from about 4 feet off the ground. I'm going to try this weekend and will take Sara's advice into consideration.

I read the grass was high too at first, but i sort of read the rest just to make sure, as everybody acted as if that was normal. 30 feet doesnt seem like a long way to go, even with snakes, wear tight boots with pants in them and you should be alright, unless your talking about jumping snakes... or maybe if they are big enough to swallow your dog.

1.It's been very cold in the mornings here with all the rain so I'm going to try then, but as said before, will try this Saturday. 2.It's South Florida, no such thing as winter here
