The Farm, Kitchener, ON

This is my first post here at UER, and i thought What a better way to start it off, then with some photos, and a story of my first Exploration through The Farm in Kitchener, Ontario. These pictures are only some of the ones I took. my friend tom, took a bunch more.

My friend Tom and I, were bored and checking out this site. We came across the page for The Farm, and noticed how close it was to our house. On Friday, May 29, 2009, we decided to go check it out.

We checked out the gallery of photos on this site beforehand, to see what we were up against. Trust me when I say, it has changed a lot. In the pictures, they show a not too run down building, easily accessable, easy to walk through, etc. Thats not the case anymore.

When we got there, we noticed that the outside was a disaster. anything and almost everything from inside was thrown in a pile outside. Couches, TV's, garbage, speakers, etc. Upon entering the first room, there was another pile of random debris. Not too exciting.

The next room was the kitchen. Oddly enough, there were still items in the fridge. relish, BBQ sauce, cutlery, etc. Again, this room wasn't too exciting either.

The next room, was what looked to be the living room, without the floors. There were a few joists to walk across, and thats all. Below this, was part of the basement. Climbing across the joists proved easy, to make it to the set of stairs going up.

Upstairs, there wasnt much to see. There were no floors, except up to the closet. There were 3 rooms in total. Only one had a floor, and it was not stable at all. Inside the closet, was more random stuff. A few pornos, some clothes, and empty boxes. Not too exciting.

The basement was about the same. piles of wood from the non existent floors, ski poles, a fan, and thats about all.

Outside, was an old GMC truck, a barn, a hobo shed, and a creepy looking Santa Clause gnome. The barn didnt hold much to look at, the truck was just... a truck, and the gnome was sitting there looking creepy. There was an old scythe lying there.

All in all, while it was fun to climb around in here, it isnt much anymore. Stop by if you are near there, but dont expect much.

Thanks for reading my first post, I hope there is more to come!

Vapula, like I said.. It isnt much anymore. there is barely any floors, most things are destroyed... OH one story i left out...

On the way out of here, we came across a deep freezer. Not thinking, we opened it. BAD IDEA. the smell made us run out and actually vomit. there were 10 year old steaks, eggos, and other unrecognizable food. dont do it. lol

It's funny that there's ALWAYS leftover porno mags at abandoned houses. I guess the older editions are out of style? LOL

Yup, that is pretty trashed, and you did a good job capturing it. It looks like it was pretty tricky getting around in there.

I appreciate the narrative first, too. Write-ups are good.
