| | an idea: a basic instructional course in UE skills < on 8/3/2009 9:44 AM >
| | | me and another member are considering putting together and running a course on basic ue skills, and perhaps, some more advanced ones if we (i) want feel like it. It will local to Toronto, and free, however any needed equip is your problem and a small donate wouldn't be unwelcome. We're looking first at (myself teaching) entry and exit, proper attire, light an noise discipline and finding entry points, as well as basic camouflage/concealment techniques and pre entry reccce and perhaps last ditch unarmed hobo defense. this will include things like dealing with "climb proof" fence and razor wire, which, IME are non issues, but some people find daunting.(I'm planning on teacching the sideways roll a la paratrooper, so one can just jump down instead of climb, and even with alot of gear, not hurt one self. I am freefall chute qualed so dont worry about a 10ft fence) depending on total interest, ect, there may be a trauma first aid portion (trauma only,no bullshit with myocardial infarctions or whatnot) and a briefing regarding the law and powers of property owners, sec guards, police, and military personnel while exploring old bases. Along with reasonably what is a "tool" and what is a "weapon" the other staff mbr will be teaching things such soc eng and generally getting out of trouble after being caught and if she wants, photography and that kinda thing...not my lane) I will work on not getting caught to start. its currently just an idea with two members, I'm posting to see interest levels, if anyone wants to instruct and if anyone has material they think should be covered. anyone interstreet, please PM me and explain in the manner your interest. if you want to be a student, what do you wish to learn? if you want to help as staff, what are capable to teach? if you just want to tell at me, go for it, my platoon warrant can insult me way worse then you can, so I dont really care. space will be limited, and we will pick who we choose to have as students. its public view for newbies that may be interested in learing from some long timers. except for danerous things, it will be very laid back and friendly. | | | I for one enjoy danerous things, and am happy to offer my skills as an instructor/staff member. I'm skilled in manipulating your photos to look like HDR, lomography and Polaroid types of film, as well as the finer points of both B&W and color expired/high ISO film. I'll be an essential addition to your class when teaching your students how to take care of their gear, as I have had experience breaking both my arm and tripod while exploring. I'm also pretty good at witty banter, so I'm more than willing to help teach your 'soc eng' class. Soccer and English were two of my strng sts in mdle skl so I think I could rly hlp ut. I am also pretty good at general stealthiness (I helped these guys do what they did- http://www.urbanca...hp?/photography/2/) and I can prfrd like nobdys bsns. Id be interested in lrnign moar abt gst hntng and pssbly catchng orb s on infrd flm.

| | | You guys mock, but having watched others explore, even if someone picked up skills on being quiet and not wearing things like hot pink when UE'ing, the world would be a better place. [last edit 8/3/2009 5:26 PM by Air - edited 1 times]

| | | You do have a good point, with this whole instruction idea. Some people have no clue WTF they are doing. but i like the idea of more of a get together where you can exchange info rather than a course per se. I am still pretty new to UER, I had always some basic knowledge of UE related skills, but it was certain individuals who really helped me out. The TO meet which goes on currently leaves new UER members in the dark, I have seen people show up to their first meet, not knowing a single person and having no clue what to expect. They are then thrust into a new exploration experience totally unprepared.
And when you finally disappear, We'll just say you were never here. |

I'll show how to insert an edged wpn into the side of the throat, until it exits on the opposite side, following by ripping forward nice and hard, as to severe the carotid arteries, jugular veins esophagus and trachea all at once! it was merly an idea for some of the new members to get of practice before the fall off a fence wearing reflective clothes and then scream for help...
