| | Toronto Meet < on 1/19/2010 3:50 AM >
| | | Toronto meet seems to have been better off then last (Decembers) meet... Groups went out to Simes, Hern, some boats, and other places. Post your pics or stories here from the day. Sorry for my low res pics, all I have left is my Camera Phone due to past incidents.

Do not worry if you have built your castles in the air. They are where they should be. Now put the foundations under them. |

What happened, did someone steal your camera?
when you are here, you wish you were there. but once you're there, it soon becomes a here, and you again wish to be there instead of here... we will never be completely satisfied. |

| | | Was kinda hoping for more Casa Loma. Or maybe there is, but I really don't know what I'm looking at for the first half of these.

Never trust a toyota corolla... especially if its parked in a city full of social unrest. Yeah, and a nearby church didn't help.

| | | Interesting shots guys, wish I could have made it out with you that day. I had seen Casa Loma a couple years back through those tours they have, but I had never considered going back to urbex it, lol, interesting.. Ah, sorry to hear about your camera though, ... that's just plain lame.

| | | sorry I missed it. here's a side story about Casa Loma - An older friend of mine, who's probably in his late 30's now, used to sneak into Casa Loma with a bunch of his friends after school when he was a teenager. He told me there was a basement window that was left unlocked which led into a 'rec room' of sorts. It had a TV, some couches and was just a great place for teenagers to chill out away from their parents. Anyway, one day he's watching the news on TV at home with his folks, and there's a story about a small fire that broke out IN CASA LOMA, and the news report showed flames coming out of the window that him and his buddies used to use to get into the place. He figures someone left something burning in the ashtray, or maybe some pyro tagged along with one of his friends - because we know that aweseome secret spots rarely stay secret for long. so there's my casa loma story. looks like a good time!

Did they get close to the Hern or did they actually get in? I've been eying that place for well over a year but seems like every time I go by there's either a security car driving by every 10 minutes or an SUV parked right on the property... The Bastards!!!!

| | | I was just on the side of the road by Hearn the other night and a very bored security guard came over to see what we were up to... One I assured him that we weren't going in (sorry, I'm clearly not as ballsy as some of you to enter a place like that at midnight in the winter...) he seemed more inclined to talk my ear off. Seemed like he was the only person on duty, and said he'd never actually been in any of the buildings... seems like it'd be easy enough to have someone distract the guard while someone else walked in the main gate - tho I'm sure the lot of you know how to get in otherwise...

| | | Ballsy to sneak into hern? Lol... The night when I smashed the shit out of my back the group went up to the damn security booth and started rapping on the windows and the security guard came out with his blinding light of doom. This was also at like 11 at night or something. Also has anyone noticed the weird parking lot ext to hern where cars just come and go and constantly switch spots? Had some fun in there involving doing 360's backwards with strobe lights in the middle of the lot....

I'm sure if you play your cards right you'll end up getting lucky in one of those cars.
