|  | | | Needless to say post your pics and stories of your trip during the Toronto meet here.
As for me, after an near miss at Malt due to an..unhappy ladder.. our group decided to go check out Cascades and set off an annoying beeping sound that inspires many people to run faster away from the source of the sound. We eventually made our way to CG and after a good 3-4 hours of exploring the place..we meet a nice older man that was quite upset about our appearance in his building. He did eventually leads us out the front door and through places we couldn't get to due to locked doors though, so that was a bonus.
Last pic is kinda blurry because I was making my way back to tell guys about the demolished hallway when I found my self in the company of our late night arrival.

I'm just sad I forgot to bring my camera  oh well, by the way, The pics you took are AWESOME!
This was my first meet, and actually my first night exploration! I apologize to anyone about being too cautious/slow, but once I was getting used to it it is more awesome than going places in the day!! There was just sooo much to explore in that place, and some really neat stuff kickin' around!

We had an amazing full day there, the police, high-rise rescue, ems, and hazmat were waiting for us. And my girlfriend and i got the one cop who had a bad day
tickets for prohibited entry, prohibited activities blah blah.
Im taking it to court and it will be fine.
Definitely worth it.
Used a full 16GB CF card 
loading them to comp now

Id just pay the fine and be glad they didnt hit you with something more serious.
nothing wrong with doing the malt during the day (though the views better at night), but you know that like thousands of people can see you when your standing on the roof looking out over the city... A bit of discretion never hurts.

| | | | Ahh I really wanted to go to this meet-up. Unfortunately, family-plans planned a month ahead trump spontaneous personal-plans.  Which building did you explore? It's also a good thing the tickets you got weren't of that high severity (I'm assuming) as in you they won't go on a Criminal record. It's also nice when you run into the owner of the building you're exploring and they decide not report you to authorities.

Laws are meant to protect people and peoples interest. Neither were harmed. The tickets for prohibited activities will be thrown out 100%. And at the very least the trespassing fine will be reduced.
Discretion went out the window when the "ride the unicycle on the roof" idea came up lol. Good thing though because the footage of that was phenomenal.
Still going through pics from this weekend. Will try to get them up ASAP

This sounds like the Trespass to Property Act would cover both the entry AND the activity. Could you look at your ticket and post the section of the act you are being charged with (TPA, Criminal Code, etc.) ?

(ii) engages in an activity on premises when the activity is prohibited under this Act; or
I can't see how someone would receive two tickets, one for trespass and one for a prohibited activity when they are both covered by the SAME act. If you're caught smoking in a washroom at a store, where smoking is prohibited then you're guilty of trespassing. You wouldn't receive two trespass tickets.
Without knowing the statute you're charged with, it seems you have a two for one deal and one charge should be thrown out....

One will definitely be thrown out. Trespassing tickets are alright but when the cop goes out of the way to make life miserable its like "oh damn i got the mean one"
I played it off like I had never done anything like that before and he said
"oh well if you bring this to court you are likely to be arrested"

He wants you to plead guilty, of course.
I'm curious and I'm sure others are also, what the exact charges are. Could you post the offence, it would be about 2/3 of the way down the ticket just above the fine amount. From what you've said, you're being charged with trespassing twice based on two definitions - which is wrong.

Ok so I got Entry when prohibited (trespassing) TPA
and Prohibited Activities (Loitering) TPA
The second is only valid if a sign says not to do something at a certain location (ie. skateboarding, loitering) but a sign must say it.
The second is guaranteed thrown out and the first will be reduced for sure.
Even if I had to pay both though for both my gf and I..
Muchos Worth It.
