| | Roof hatches < on 6/9/2010 12:33 PM >
| | | I'm close to entering one of the most monumental places for urbex in northwest ohio but one thing that's standing in my way is a roof hatch. I believe it's something like one of these: http://www.bilco.c...asp?product=1E%2D1 I need a way to open this thing from the outside and without breaking it. We've just yanked it open before but it broke and now it's been fixed. If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate it. [last edit 6/9/2010 12:34 PM by Darkwolf - edited 1 times]

| | | There is no way to get it open without doing damage. All the hinges, latches, screws, etc are concealed on the interior side. There are exposed screws around the latch handle on top, but removing them only loosens the mounting plate - the latch mechanism is still secured on the interior.

| | | Just curious what you were dealing with DW......in the edit of the original post? Evidently this guy has posted on http://www.lockpicking101.com/ and the reply I deleted was made by a moderator on there. I explained to him that the post was just confusing since it sounded like he meant the "other" forum here. I have given the option of modifying the post or letting go and that people will usually show their true colours in given time and then given the smack down. But I was just curious as I don't remember exactly what the original post said and some of the quotes I have in PMs may have been in that.....sigh.

| | | His link was broken... I started to fix it then changed my mind cause I did not really feel comfortable with his post asking how to b&e more or less. I was gonna delete the entire thread but got called away here at work then forgot about it.

| | | Maybe deleting the whole thread is a good idea.......sigh again. B&E discussions do not do so well in the Rookie Forum and kind of does make implication we prefer not to make. I will do it or you can......let me know, I am unproductive in life at the moment if it doesn't involve laying in the bed being on the computer. ARGHH.
