Potential Future Super Amazing Site!

So, I'd like to share my excitement about the recent announcement for closure of a HUGE and historic state hospital campus in PA. Some of you may know what I'm talking about.
This will happen on or before December 31, 2010.
Any thoughts?

Not all buildings are in use. There are those who have infiltrated it before.

I live right in bethlehem. My cousin is on the maintenance department. I'll keep you informed but yes there are buildings that are empty and no as of right now there are no plans to reuse it yet. however there will be full security sweeps and the bethlehem pd will be making regular visits (thanks for the heads up "john the cop") for at least the first 6 months after close as well as a skeleton crew for maintenance. PS if you are looking for places to go hit me up i have a half dozen or so that i haven't gotten too yet.

You're certainly not helping anyone's chances of exploring the place, including yours, by posting a thread like this.

A good portion of this location is already shut down as someone else mentioned. They started closing it this past December. Why don't you try to get permission... I think I am going to try..

It is hard to believe the ignorance that is often shown here by some new explorers. Why not put up a map and let the lurking authority figures know when you plan to explore. It is well known that enforcement and security peopled regularly view this site in order to be able to better protect/seal/patrol the areas they are charged with covering.

Try to get permission to explore it before it closes, or while the state is moving out.

My thoughts exactly... I would not go here without permission and I wouldn't recommend that anyone do it.

I don't even know what the location is, but that is always my strategy when there is any sort of risk of getting caught involved.
