| | Old gravel quarry in MA < on 7/8/2010 9:23 PM >
| | | Got out of class early on Monday and decided to check out an old quarry that I had passed about a hundred times in the past couple years but I never knew if it was actually abandoned. As it turns out, the quarry company's equipment has been abandoned, but based on some fresh tracks and a couple of new Caterpillars, my guess is that it is used for vehicle storage. It wasn't particularly interesting in appearance, but if you don't mind heights, it proved to be a particularly interesting jungle-gym. Anyways, I only had a 3.2 megapixel Fuji and I'm not a photographer, so please excuse the quality.

| | | It looks like a lot of fun to climb around on, and rusty old machines are always interesting!

There were two small, locked buildings that housed generators or other equipment. One had a small window that could have been crawled through, but all I could see and smell was rotten insulation and dust, so it didn't seem worth going in. There were a few larger buildings/warehouses up the hill, but that's where the fresh tire tracks seem to be going to/from, and a brand new Chevy truck. I figured they were being used and weren't worth getting caught over. I did get a few exteriors though.
