I'm not sure tutorials was ever all that worthwhile to begin with.

I think it could have been. I used to spend hours, and I mean seriously, hours every week (mostly while at work, but I'm just sayin') trying to keep the Tutorials section on track and cleaned out. It was one of the sections that I signed up to monitor and moderate. I liked Tutorials for what I thought it should be.

But I finally gave up. At times, it reminds me of another form of Other, except that this one from time to time does still have useful info. Maybe one of these days soon, I'll clean it out again.

The game wardens Dalek's words were "the bear Doctor will be destroyed exterminated", so by shoot I didn't mean with beanbag rounds

Fixed that for you.

Oh good, my slow clap processor made it into this thing.

Well I figured, while we're on the topic of Sonic Screwdrivers, we might as well discuss other things which pertain to Doctor Who.

In response to what this thread is theoretically supposed to be about, a Dalek makes a nice addition to any urbexer's toolkit. It may require a large satchel!

I always try to take a hot sidekick! That rarely seems to work out, though.

But Daleks are powerless against stairs. Cybermen are far more useful in that stairs phase them not, and we often run into stairs ladders and such. Because tho' Daleks Exterminate! they just do not elevate.

They are most certainly not! Sylvester McCoy demonstrated the proper terror of being attacked by a levitating Dalek in the episode "Revelation of the Daleks" (the revelation being that Daleks can lev-i-tate).

Bravo sir for using Classic Who for your defense instead of New Who.
It all depends on the generation of Daleks. The first time a Dalek ever levitated was in the Sylvester McCoy episode Remembrance of the Daleks. In a Tom Baker(4th Doctor) episode the Doctor escapes thru an air shaft in the Dalek base his witty remark is "If you're supposed to be the superior race of the universe, why don't you try climbing after us? Bye-bye!" If I were to bring a Dalek with me whilst Urbexing I'd bring one from the 7th Doctor+ era.

My bad, it was actually "Remembrance of the Daleks" in which the Dalek staircase scene was seen. Believe it or not, Daleks' levitating ability was actually first demonstrated in the Hartnell episode "The Chase".

Considering this thread was cringe-inducing to begin with, I'm happy to leave it as the Doctor Who thread.
