Abandoned NYC mini-mansion

We came across this on our big Thanksgiving weekend UE hullaballoo. This was one of the smaller houses in the area, and was in great shape, probably because of its location. There were no broken windows and the roof was still good. Nothing was taken.. it's as though the old people there died, and someone just forgot about it. It was quite the place, with lots of hand-painted artwork on the walls. I hope whatever plagues it is sorted out, as the house is still quite restorable.

Apologies for the pic quality... the person that showed it to us was really nervous (the area has its own private security) and was in a rush to get out.

Yeah, it was perfect. One coulda grabbed a piece of cardboard under it and picked it up intact (if, of course, one was inclined to do such things).

If I recall, there was another wheelchair there. And no apparent way to get them upstairs.
