Abandoned vs Active, etc.

Hey, just wondering what you guys mostly hit?
Abandoned places? (small houses or large hospitals) Active buildings? Bridges, roofs?
I mostly go to abandoned places (love hospitals and factories), sometime they just happen to be active buildings on the site.

Speaking of which, does anyone else ever have dreams where you are exploring and you walk into a room and there's like a family watching TV or something and you realize you just broke into someone's house? I've had a few of those before. Most of the time I just freeze and can't move - "I'm so screwed." Something like that.

Abandoned buildings?! No way. I only photograph birds. Active or abandoned birding sites.

Abandoned, why go someplace active? I do that getting groceries or going to work...no fun there :p

Some places I do have to settle for half and half. Alot of the stuff left seems to only really be left at all because they count on the active areas to 'watch over' the abandoned areas. I prefer state hospitals but those are few and far now.

I just dream obsessively about urbex when I don't get to for some time. It sucks because I get these really satisfying dreams about crazy buildings then it turns out it was nothing at all and I realize I'm bored of day-to-day life.

Lol, I do FEAR your dream really happening, though. So many idiots around here don't do shit to care for their houses and sometimes I see a car in the driveway the third time I drive by after already thinking it looked like it could have been cool to check out. So now I super double check in like six different ways :^O

You can analyze your dreams through [what I believe to be] some effective methods I've heard about. They used to say general things like the ocean meant sadness. But everyone has their own viewpoint...one guy's dad drowned in that ocean and the other went sailing on it with his dad.

Figure out how you view the things you see, the people you meet, their attitudes, and what you feel. Might not actually be about urbexing...for all I know you might be trying to find something new in your life only to find it's all the same and boring. Something probably isn't ending up how you're expecting.

Edit: The :^O face is supposed to be a laughing smilie on another forum. It looks so asininely stupid without the little GIF in it's place that I legitimately feel I wanna edit and disclaim about it -_-

I prefer to explore abandoned sites (obviously), although there are a few semi-active sites I will explore. I was exploring a partially abandoned mall that had a section still active, didn't know it at the time but when we stumbled into it we had hell of a time finding an exit where we wouldn't be seen.
