| | | Cleveland - Unknown Building < on 3/6/2011 5:25 AM >
| | | This is my first picture post and is of some pics from an unknown building in Cleveland OH I visited in Feb. It had some interesting points to it and some nice graffiti. View from the roof was not that great but is right next to the highway which was kind of cool. The basement is pretty much full of stored asbestos so respirator was useful. There is a somewhat complex layout that has rooms hidden if you look for them. People live or stay in said rooms in warm months it seems. There was also one room that had a tag one in human feces, and reeked of it. Overall the building is quite photogenic, despite not being the most interesting building. There is green plastic over many windows which creates the glowing green tones in these pics. It is also close to train tracks and near what seems to be a not great neighborhood. Finally, there are some feral cats and dogs that we saw who also seem to hang out in this lovely place a lot. =)

Come on down to Cleveland town, look at both of our buildings. Cleveland sucks, but hey at least they're not Detroit!

| | | I had been to this place, We nicknamed it Green Windows. It was a gorgeous place, I loved what the green fiberglass did for the lighting inside. I got some good shots inside even with my POS camera I was using at the time.

I think Cleveland rules and will most likely be moving there over the summer. Its noise scene is as great as its supply of buildings and places to check out.

All the ice was melting inside so there was chances for some really nice reflection pictures of graffiti and such, as well as plenty of running water from the upper levels draining out. That looked amazing in the green tint. I nicknamed it after an address painted on a door but did not want to post that. Overall I would go back to this place a few times. It has all the good relaxing material for me, the tint, right near train tracks, and some decent graf.

It was early August when I went, and even then it was gorgeous. I was in no hurry to leave. I'd like to see it again, and perhaps on another trip out. Its just a three hour drive for me and I try to see something new when I go, plus me not knowing where to find stuff and what is safe, I usually am at the mercy of a local. But I do love the city and go every chance I get. Well I like any city I can find stuff in and get to, Mayberry on Welfare aint got shit.

its about 3 hours for me too and I am the same. I try to find a new spot each time. Good thing about Cleveland is that it is EASY to find buildings and houses that are dead. Drive around the East side and Midtown and you will be in heaven. There are some directly off each highway in the city as well, this green light place being one of them. I cant wait to move there this summer. the hood I will be in is a wasteland and two GREAT buildings are walking distance. Will post pics of those soon.

Why thank you! We're working on a Cleveland meetup for this spring or summer, for those who are interested.
