|  | | | One of those explores that becomes so much more. Apologies if this has been documented in an earlier thread, but another post certainly can't hurt Jane Doe's cause. I've attached a couple of links to the unsolved murder from 2005. They don't have a clue who did it. She has no identity. What could be sadder? There is a 50K reward apparently just to identify her.
I became familiar with the murder when I found out about the house. It sits back a ways down an overgrown laneway behind one of those grassy public rest areas alongside the road. Typical picnic table rest stop.
She was found back in the woods behind the rest stop by some guy who apparently had gone in to take a piss. She was found in a sleeping bag, and had been there about a month. They think she was dragged out to there. Maybe she had come from a trunk, and perhaps the murder did not even happen there, but prior and somewhere else.
There is a memorial to her at the rest stop with one of those creepy digital image reconstructions of her face. It has become waterlogged and taken on a pale blue grey hue. She apparently had some facial disfigurement, perhaps from an earlier blow, and this makes it all the more haunting. Sounds like a violent end to perhaps a rough life. Nice of someone to give a damn. A sad sight/site.
The house? Trash palace. Nothing remarkable about it except for it's close proximity to the scene of the crime. When I visited it was just about to pour, and I mean pour rain. So I arrived just before the deluge, but got stuck there inside for about a half hour beyond my pic taking. I got to know it's rhythms pretty well from that stay. You couldn't have asked for a more appropriate bit of weather visiting a spot like that.
R.I.P. Jane Doe. I hope the sick, cowardly mouth breather who did this is caught at some point. Each breath of their freedom insults your memory. I also hope we find out your real name.

| | | | The only explanation I can think of is she was a run away, or even a prostitute.. Girls like that don't tend to be reported missing. Nor do their families check the "Found Body" reports.. That might explain the facial trauma.
This place is really sad, though... Creepy and just a really odd feeling about it.
I walked in on a couple in a very compromising position in one of the upper bedrooms... Talk about awkward.
