|  | | | Well hidden old shell of a farmhouse off the beaten track. The tug of war between the integrity of the structure and nature is no contest now. Main floor is rotten and collapsed. The upper level is dessicated and half exposed to the elements. Small shrubs are taking hold in the flooring. Gaps are everywhere. I carefully made my way around the upper floor and was rewarded for my efforts. Not wearing steelies, I quickly reacted when I heard the pop of a nail go through the sole of my lightweight hikers. With all the lumber scattered about, I was surprised this happened only once! The remaining pieces of furniture are close to mere vestiges. I wonder how long it has taken to achieve this state of decay?
