Description
More stairs that lead to the mall offices. There were also restrooms upstairs, but nothing else. Check out the funky lamppost.

This photo--in particular the zig-zag tile design throughout the mall--brings back memories of Big Town. I believe the stylized lamposts were scattered throughout the place.

I see Montgomery Ward on the right, but I'm trying to recall if that was the little coffee shop directly across from it. Does anyone have a rough layout of the mall? I was just a little guy in the 80s, so I can vaguely remember certain aspects of the old place. A layout would certainly help me remember.

The store straight ahead on the left was a jewelry store, possibly Zale's at one time. The store at the bottom of the stairs on the left was a "Middle Eastern owned" jewelry store in the late 90's. The entire "mall" area is now down. Only about 2/3rds of MW's is now left as of August 25th. I witnessed this very part of the mall being torn down on the 24th, with one simple pull from the excavators.

The hallways to the bathrooms always smelled like smoke.
