Two story brick building with older parts built in stone. Interior is mostly emptied of furniture but unmolested. One room contains hundreds of empty and unused bottles standing on the floor, quite bizarre. Except for a couple of broken windows, this place is unvandalized and has no grafitti in it!

Corbyville was established in 1857 by Henry Corby, an immigrant baker from England, who founded a grist mill there. As it was common practice then to set aside some of the poorer grain for distilling, the industrious Mr Corby started a distillery, which quickly grew, becoming equally important as the mill in 1859. At some point in the 1870's, the grist mill was closed and the focus of the town became the distillery. A fire in 1907 destroyed most of the buildings, resulting in extensive reconstruction. After WW1, Corby merged with Wiser's, and the distillery produced Wiser's Deluxe Canadian Whisky and Canadian Club Whisky and many other brands until 1991 when it closed, the tax warehouses closing at the same time. A commercial town with no residents, the town died and is now essentially a ghost town.

After the distillery closed, it seems there were plans to convert the property into commercial offices, and part of the building houses an engineering office, a post office, and the offices of Belleville Parks & Recreation, although both the engineering firm and BP&R now have moving notices on their doors, so the future of this ghost town is in question.
