Used to be a hotel (stagecoach stop) in the horse & carriage days from what I hear. Was notorious as a stripclub for the most part, frequented and probably funded by the local Satan's Choice MC, and then a buffet style restaurant called Challenger 1. There was a big 1/3 or so scale fibreglass space shuttle on the roof. After the Challenger exploded, I guess it wasn't so cool a name, like those dietary supplements called Ayds that came out at the height of AIDS. Has been boarded up for at least 8 years.

Possibly GO transit rail service will extend to Waterloo Region, and this site will become a GO Transit station. Region of Waterloo now owns the 1.8 million dollar pile of rubble. I thank UER and guys like SK, Shatter, Frost, Cross, Exkal and myself for raping this site. As they pulled down the front wall this afternoon, I smiled, knowing the old building was winking back at me... I knew, and the old building knew... only a few had explored her, and respected her, in her old age. I shed a tear, stole a brick, and went home.
