A good amonut of the track is rather intact, a silo, metal frames of 2 bridges remain, some building foundations, and there is a large tunnel that runs under part of the straightaway but has collapsed at one end.

1958 - Meadowdale International Raceway is built and The Chicago Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) conducts the track's inaugural event on September 13 and September 14. Several major wrecks and the fatality that took place during the inaugural events gave it a reputation as a "killer", which it was never able to rid itself of. Because of this reputation the track begins its short life of struggles.
1959 – Formula Libre Racing takes place. Formula Libre is allows a wide variety of types, ages and makes of purpose-built racing cars to compete head to head, similar to SCCA racing albeit a wider range of vehicle speeds on the track.
1960 – US Auto Club Racing, also similar to SCCA and Formula Libre.
1961 – USAC Stock cars racing.
1962 – Local club racing.
1963 – AMA motorcycling racing.
1964 - United States Road Racing Championship, USRRC, racing takes place, a splinter branch of SCCA.
1965 – Chicagoland Kart Association hosts a go-kart racing event.
1966 – No races.
1967 – Snowmobile racing.
1968 – TransAm Racing
1969 – The main straight by the grandstands is used for drag racing.
1970 - The track never operates again, and begins its decay. Among reasoning for closure beyond its label as a "killer", the town growing around it choked the property and made for parking for events difficult resulting in angry neighbors.
1994 - A group of local park districts purchased the north 90 acres of the track's land for use as part of a new forest preserve.
2002 – The local park districts purchases the remainder of the property.
Today - The track site is now, formally, a forest and nature preserve and recreational area known as "Raceway Woods". However, the volunteers who maintain the site have recognized its importance as a race track, and have done much to keep the original track and related structures in place in the form of a hiking trail. The infield has several loops of mountain bike singletrack.
