Back when Downtown Easton was something worth singing about, this hotel was a happenin' place. Now, "average" people only go downtown for two reasons: to get drunk, or to pawn something.
It was considered to be one of the grandest hotels on the East Coast during the roaring twenties, hosting such luminaries as Eleanor Roosevelt, Joe Lewis and RJ Reynolds.
One of the co-owners of the building is my best friend's ex-landlord. He was an asshat.

Instead of knocking it down to build Jersey Homes (the Eastern PA version of McMansions, which are built for the suburban invaders from across the river).. They're turning into Jersey condominiums.
