     History
In 1961, the Chili Development Corp sold the property to M.D.A Inc, a business whose exact nature I've had a hard time pinning down. The buildings /look/ older than that, but I haven't found any evidence that the buildings existed when MDA acquired the land.

MDA held onto it until around 2005, at which point the Chili Dev Co required it. Around 2006 it gave it to Frederico Construction, Inc. for the express purpose of demolishing the contents of the property (which had become a brownfield site).

As of 2009, there is a newish building on the site, but the main building I've seen (which contains several large concrete silos) is still standing, despite being quite dilapidated. With any luck, the recession put a stop to the demolition.

    Some misc quotes:
"For the past 40 years, the 1025 Chili Avenue site had been used for
the storage of military and surplus commercial goods." -Frederico Construction
"MANUFACTURING FACILITY PREVIOUSLY USED AS A MILITARY SURPLUS SUPPLY DEPOT." -Property listing on LoopNet

     Future Plans
As of 9/4 (but probably sooner) a section of the building in the back was torn down. So it's quite possible that the whole thing might be coming down soon. Not so sure.

They /want/ to demolish it, but that should have happened a year or two ago, so that may have fallen through (woot!)
