 Overview
 Description
A large 6 story brick and pre-cast concrete hospital building with three 2 story wings, an ER wing and engineering building on a 5 acre tract.

This was originally just a 2 story building, the 6 story modular concrete tower being added later. The property is being renovated at this time and there is a 6ft security fence around the site.

     History
This was the Johnson County Memorial Hospital. It was scheduled to be demolished in 2004 but the property owner claimed he couldn't come up with the $200k estimated cost to bring down the modular concrete tower structure and prevent asbestos from flying all over the neighborhood.

Judging by the amount of rust on the no trespassing signs and lack of info on the Web Im guessing this place closed down some time before Al Gore invented the Internet.

UPDATE 5/13/2006: only the 6 story tower remains the lower wings have been demolished and the rubble hauled away.
