A 20000 sq ft engineered steel and concrete building with various shacks and appendages on 10 acres next to an abandoned rail line. There is also a 2400 sq ft residential style building that served as the office. The property is in a state of advanced deterioration and some signs of gang activity were noted. This is close enough to Pleasant Grove for this to be considered a gang activity advisement. 4.2.2024 - Based on satellite imagery, it appears to have been demolished in 2022. A single shed and some foundations might remain, but it was 95% gone at the last recorded image in 2022.

This was a fairly large Dallas industrial concern that has all the appearances of being abandoned. Satellite imagery from 2013 shows its still there and deteriorating from both natural and man made causes. At one time this plant produced concrete blocks, commonly known as cinder blocks or Haydite (Hadite) blocks. Fires, vandalism and weather are all taking their toll on this location. Vultures roost in the building superstructure but it seems as if local paintball warriors and gang bangers rule the roost now. Vandals have almost completely destroyed the interior of the nice little ranch style home which was the former plant office. Large rats scurry around in the once neat stacks of unsold cinder blocks in the yard which are starting to topple over. The old Texas & New Orleans rail line that runs adjacent to this property now belongs to DART and may well dictate the future of this location.

Most likely demolition since it’s right on a recently acquired DART right of way.
