Was part of a circuit of 5 churchs, back in the day when the Preacher would travel by carriage to one every Sunday. The other four are all on the Hamilton Mountain in the same general area. 3 are still active, one on Ridge road is a private home now, and this one sat empty for 20-some years until it was demolished. I did a LOT of research on this place and have to say, things don't add up and people did not want to talk... It was designated as historical but then delisted from that designation to allow for demolition. In my opinion it was not unsafe or unsound and some elderly people I tried to speak to about it said they just wanted to see it torn down.
