The building was used as a squat for artists, and they left several (beautiful) traces of their occupation. The sexual assault story is apparently related to artists who squatted there in 2002... The building was modified in 1906 and 1928. The school moved out in 2001, selling the property to a promoter who was later arrested for sexual assault. The property was then sold again to Groupe Canvar, who are currently planning the transformation of the building into condos. The building was badly damaged by vandals in summer 2005. Aug 2006 - Conversion into lofts and studios is 20-30% done.
