 Overview
 Description
Uli's Stairs are a set of stairs that are nestled in the escarpment and are composed of nearly 300 hand-set rocks. Built by a retired German iron worker, who only goes by the name of Uli, they're a wonderful and whimsical way to get down the escarpment to either the Rail Trail or Bruce Trail. Uli can often be seen out and about repairing his stairs, but doesn't talk very much, has a bit of a hard time with English and doesn't appear to have any family - except for his dog.

The surrounding area is full of suburban homes and forestry. These forests, growing on the escarpment, are a favourite of the few Hamilton Mountain homeless as they provide caves and a quiet, pleasant place to drink the night away.
