  •  Interesting Features
The railroad bed itself is fairly boring, but the five tunnels are still intact, and are cool. The wooden shoring at the East end of the tunnels is beautifully done, and a real example of the tunnelmakers art. The view of the lake from up there is spectacular!

This railroad system was built to carry construction supplies and men during the building of the Hoover Dam. When the dam was completed and the road built, the railroad became useless. The last run was in 1961.
