Building once had CSX rail tracks running under it. Good would be shipped via the conveyor belt from the main facility to this depot and lowered onto the train underneath the building. The rails then ran to both Cincinnati and Dayton. Interior consists of a network of stairs that form a small maze throughout the facility.

This Fairfield division of General Motor's Fisher Body was built in 1948 as an assembly plant for automobile coaches. The 1.3 million square foot facility reached its peak in 1988. That year General Motors sold the plant, which employed several thousand at the time. The plant was sold to a joint venture between the Chinese government and Korean reverend Sun Myung Moon to construct a new car called the 'Panda'. The plans for the 'panda' fell through and Castle Metals became the main tenant in the early 1990's. As the new millenium turned only 60% of the facility was in use, with its satellite rail yard abandoned. In spring 2006 First Highland development company of Boston purchased the property with plans for a 10.3 million dollar renevation that includes a new steel and brick art deco facade being constructed on the main plant. As of February 2007, they were halfway done. The adjoining railyard, which has buildings connected to the main plant by means of an old enclosed conveyer belt system, including this one, that travels above the parking lot then down to the main plant, are the only abandoned and unguarded structures that are able to be explored.
