Even though you could park an airliner inside production halls, all machinaery has been removed, and the halls are just huge, empty spaces. According to a document of Finland’s environmental administration the place had been used for concrete-related industrial activity since the 1960s, and finally Parma Betonila Oy, a large producer of building material, turned the lights off for good in 2003. A real estate company was looking forward for demolition and soil cleaning, and the permission was granted four days prior our visit.
