Closed some time ago (Not exactly sure when) it was sold by the township to a man from BC for $1, they were hoping he would turn it into something grand that would draw more tourism and people to their small town... but instead he took everything worth money, disappeared and didn't pay any of the property taxes, so the town re-possessed it.

It's now being used for militay, law enforcement and war-gaming purposes.

    Update October 2009:
The building is now under construction. The building is gutted and the inside is being developed. Looks like they are taking the building back and plan to re-use it for something new.

     Future Plans
The hospital will continue to be used as a close quarters combat training facility for the military and law enforcement, as well as an excellent location for war-gamers.

    Update: Its under construction.
