  •  Interesting Features
This house as it sits today isn't the same as it looked back in the late 1800's. This house has gone through many additions and retrofitting. There are two wells on the property. One big one just outside of the house and the other is located down the driveway a little furthur at the old barn. Only thing left of the barn is the foundation nothing else stands.

     History
This is the David Whaley house, located on Reesor rd{10th concession}, just north of Steeles. 1 lot above the Simeon Reesor property. The original house was built in 1835 as 1 1/2 story, 3 bay, Georgian framed cottage on a 200 acre lot. In the Cedar Grove community the Whaley family was well known. On the lower section of the property there was a sawmill and a millpond, which I believe the Simeon Reesor ran. Where the mill once stood is now a bridge{I'm certain it's the steeles ave bridge}. Also to get to this house you have to cross a really sketchy bridge on the driveway of the property, it's on the verge of collapse. After the house, a little further down the driveway there are two different old foundations. I believe one was possibly the old barn.
