Il y a bien sur l'eglise en avant plan, completement placardée et quelque peu graffité.
Derriere et sur le coté, c'est le cimetiere. Il a été restauré en 1961, mais une grosse branche est tombé d'une arbre et a cassé plusieurs pierres tombales. Il semble y avoit eu un affaissement de terrain aussi.

Le cimetière attenant peut etre interessant.

En fait, l'eglise est a peu pres la seule chose qui reste du village de Shrewsbury. Les premiers colons, pour la plupart des Irelandais, débarquent vers 1830 et construisent l'eglise, le St.John Anglican Church, en 1858.
La région est florissante mais, dans les années 1880, plusieurs maladies et dépression touchent la population. Diphtérie, rougeole et secheresse poussent les gens a quitter a région pour aller dans l'ouest du Canada ou aux Etats-Unis.
Dans le même coin il y avait aussi une école (1841-1935, brulé) et le Orange Lodge, une organisation protestante fraternelle (±1880-1942, brulé). "There are no farms left and the whole area has been returned to the forest almost as if the farmers had never been there…"
