     History
The original Headlands Hotel was commissioned in 1926 by a group of three ladies and had its heyday in the 1930's operating as a guesthouse for those wishing to day trip down from Sydney. Originally named Headland's Guest House, it was one of the largest and most expensive in the area.

A liquor licence was granted in 1952 and in 1954 became a public hotel and bar. However over the years a number of additions and changes have seen the building miss out on being listed and demolition was granted in 1983, 1986, 1987, 2000 and 2011. Plans are set for it to be demolished.
