Large megachurch/camp complex, abandoned in 2004. It's probably the best-known abandonment in the Portland area; as such, it's been completely trashed over the years. Recently, it's become very popular with graffiti writers.

Pretty large complex. Lots of graffiti; some of it well-done. A tunnel connects the steam plant to the main complex. A tunnel allegedly used to connect to the old Dammasch Hospital (demolished); a tunnel going in the right direction from the steam plant has been found, but it ends in a wall of debris and dirt.

The Living Enrichment Center was a New Thought megachurch and retreat. Prior to its sale to the church group, it was known as the Callahan Center (built in the 1970s), a rehabilitation center for injured Oregon State workers. The church leaders were accused in 2004 of mixing funds between personal and church accounts. With so much money lost to lawsuits and debt servicing, the church was forced to abandon the property in June 2004. A new owner took control sometime around 2011. Demolition has begun on some parts of the complex. As of July 2012, the cabins are all gone, and the rear (southeast) end of the complex has been partially demolished. In addition, much of the rest of the complex has been gutted of its remaining glass, non-load-bearing walls, electrical conduit, lights, plumbing, etc. -- possibly in preparation for further demolition.
