     History
The house was built in 1850 by James Appelbe who emigrated from Ireland in 1815 with his widowed mother and older brother, William.

James would eventually become the Postmaster for Trafalgar township. The home was last lived in by a family in 2007, once they moved out the local teenagers, druggies and squatters took over - all but destroying the entire home.

Despite many attempts to seal the doors and windows vandals still made their way in and managed to trash every room in the house. Eventually, they set a fire upstairs resulting in a completely torched upper level.
