  •  Interesting Features
Although the conveyor itself is gone, the small tower remains. Stone would have been elevated up to the top, via the conveyor, and then processed down through the machinery which is still fully intact. While only a few stories high, there is roof access and a decent night view. Attached to the tower is a kind of (but not really) interesting 2 story area to explore. A small, partially subterranean structure exists to the immediate west, where the lower end of the conveyor was located. Housing the mechanics and controls for the elevator, this halfway underground facility is collapsed in on the south end. I think this collapsed area might have lead into the basement of previously existing buildings.

     History
Apparently, this was an elevator/mill of some sort for the lime and stone quarry across the way. I'm not aware of any historical significance or when it went out of use. A few other buildings on the site now sit as piles of brick and rubble.

     Future Plans
I think another concrete company had used it for a short while. But it seems pretty dead now. It will probably get torn down.
