It is on a corner lot, fairly large, and architecturally nondescript. The structure is still in very good condition. No noticeable issues due to weather, and there isn't much vandalism inside.
It isn't the most exiting explore, but there are a couple doors still locked inside, for any lock-pickers out there. I am just surprised that they are still locked.

A couple squatters have recently called this home, judging from the 40oz's and recently emptied bags of chips and assortments.
|

It's in good shape for an abandonment. That said, the facility did a good job of clearing out their items on their way out. It is pretty much gutted. A few items and beds, etc. remain, that's about all.

It's in a residential neighborhood and if you stick around the outside long enough, you'll meet a couple of the local homeless as well.

Take a flashlight, even during the day. Most of the windows are boarded up.

It's not super photogenic, but I say, always take the camera.

I found very little information on this location. I know that it was housing for severely mentally challenged individuals (not a nursing home for seniors, as the internet claims on most sites. I used to live across the street from this location when it was active).

Nothing found, other than announcing occasional tentative buyers that haven't panned out.

I saw some mention of it becoming a nursing home, but this is likely another pipe dream.
