A small brewery was constructed at this site in 1858. After it burned down, a larger brewery was built in 1874 and operated until the owners filed for bankruptcy in 1939. This brewery survived the prohibition by switching to non-alcoholic beverages until alcohol was re-legalized. A complete timeline of the brewery's history can be found in the "Fall 2018" album.
