     History
Crashed April 19th, 1944 during a training exercise from Patricia Bay Air Station (now Victoria International Airport, YYJ). It is believed the crew felt they did not have enough fuel to return to Patricia Bay and attempted to land at Port Hardy airport. Due to bad weather the plane failed its first approach and ran out of fuel during its second crashing into the trees below. There was only one survivor. All other aircraft participating in the exercise successfully landed at Patricia Bay.
