9.11.2023 - Demolished between 2021 and 2022. Satellite images as of Oct 2022 shows it as an empty lot. As of the date of this post, GIS data shows the owner as still being BAY AREA MEDICAL CENTER INC operated by AURORA MEDICAL CENTER BAY AREA.

Built in 1939 as the Marinette General Hospital. Building expanded over time and became the Bay Area Medical Center, adding a cancer care center in the 1990's.
In 2015, it was announced a new hospital would be built replacing this one. The facility was closed in 2018, and put for sale until it was announced in November 2021 that the buildings would be demolished.

9.11.2023 - It is published in April that The Marinette Common Council voted unanimously to purchase the old Bay Area Medical Center hospital property for $950,000 (It was listed for $1.5m), and accept development proposals. However as of this date GIS data shows it is still owned by BAY AREA MEDICAL CENTER INC so progress is currently unclear.
