My mate had one and it appeared to be pretty swift. It was red too.

I'd like to buy one for pennies and wreck it on the forestry tracks, that'd be fun.

Can you wreck Volvo's? I thought you needed a small nuclear device just to dent them :P

  I wrote off a 360GLT once.

That was a pretty rapid car - 2.0i / four cylinder B20FT. Rear wheel drive is fun.

Not as fast as my 480 Turbo was though.

My parents had a Volvo 340 and a Renault Nevada. The nevada was a lot bigger and better, but they had the same engine (Forgot whether it both was Renault or Volvo). I never rode one of 'em (couldn't have touched the pedals and looked out at the time) but I suppose the 340 was rather spiffy

Yeah, some 340's (The 1.4 mainly) used the Renault Energy Engine.

Volvo have always bought renault engines for thier smaller cars... The 480 had one too.

The entire 340 range used Renault engines and some of the bigger Volvos used Renault diesel engines. Teehee, car geekiness. :-(

The 340 (Limited) had a Volvo B21 engine - which then got a boot tacked on and became the 360.

  Was that the 2-litre?
