Yeah, the dirt and crap got frightened off!
Posted by TurboZutek 7/28/2005 10:44 AM | remove
  Any champagne coloured baths?
Posted by Slickis 7/28/2005 9:28 PM | remove
  I had a car that color....nasty.
Posted by Jennibel 7/28/2005 11:10 PM | remove
Who decorated this? A color blind interior designer with no sense of pattern combinations?
Posted by lost 7/29/2005 9:30 AM | remove
Probably got a load of interior decorations on the cheap and didn't think about the assault on their customer's eyes.
Posted by TurboZutek 7/29/2005 3:29 PM | remove
Yes... But tell me... Any champagne baths?
Posted by lost 7/29/2005 3:42 PM | remove
  No, dear.

Posted by TurboZutek 7/29/2005 3:43 PM | remove
  Rats.

I need one... and it's f---ing difficult to FIND one now, as they are out of production. Hey, I would even consult the property owner and see if I could BUY one from him/her!
Posted by IIVQ 7/30/2005 10:16 PM | remove
What do you need one for tz? Need to scare someone?
Posted by TurboZutek 7/31/2005 11:03 AM | remove
No, I need to replace my bath that has a hole in it.

A hole, while useful for many other things; is not the best recepticale for water (or any other liquid) and hence my bath leaks.

Severely.

While it's true I could replace the ENTIRE bathroom suite with a white one, that's a pain in the arse and expensive!
Posted by lost 7/31/2005 11:17 AM | remove
Why not get a normal white enamel bath and have it painted to match?
Posted by TurboZutek 7/31/2005 11:23 AM | remove
  Hmmmm.... That's an idea.

I might look at that if I get desperate.

In the interim, I'm looking into fibreglass repair!
Posted by IIVQ 7/31/2005 9:00 PM | remove
or just get your bathroom only half out of style.

Btw... Just use some chewing gum!
Posted by lost 7/31/2005 9:13 PM | remove
Fibreglass filler would hold a million times better.
Posted by TurboZutek 7/31/2005 10:06 PM | remove
Yeah, this is my thinking... Expoxy resin fibre fill, sand and eh... conceal!?

See, the insurance gave me a cheque to replace the full lot... But I wanna go to Canada for a while instead! ;-)

/I'm gonna try it anyways.
Posted by lost 7/31/2005 11:15 PM | remove
Is it a fairly shoddy bathroom suite anyway?
Posted by TurboZutek 8/1/2005 12:25 AM | remove
Well this is the fucker of it: No, it's pretty much pristine!!

Except for a damn hole in teh bath! :-|
Posted by Slickis 8/1/2005 5:42 AM | remove
Squirt expandind foam in the hole. After it dries cut it off flush and dig down just a little for a nice fat layer of glass and resin. Should never break again.
Posted by SnakeCorp 8/1/2005 3:56 PM | remove
How the fuck did you make a hole in the bath anyway?
Posted by lost 8/1/2005 5:27 PM | remove
  Best left unanswered, maybe...
Posted by TurboZutek 8/1/2005 8:12 PM | remove
It was like that when I moved in... It had a shitty repair over it, but cleverly hidden by a stick on bath mat thingy!!

I can only think it might have been some kinda DIY gone wrong that made the hole?

/Kinda angry, but kinda not: my house I sold had a condemned boiler!
Posted by sleek 8/3/2005 5:08 AM | remove
I got a coral coloured one close to champagne.
Posted by TurboZutek 8/3/2005 7:38 AM | remove
Really ??? How close??? Is it spare?

Rats... Just looked up the colour 'coral'... It's too far away from the correct colour.

Thanks anyways matey! :-D

I actually had a toilet that same colour and shade in my last apartment. We just ended up putting little green froggies everywhere in the bathroom to help the awful green toilet blend in with the rest of the "non-green" bathroom.
Posted by purplegrum 8/19/2005 8:38 PM | remove
We had a suite like that when I was a kid, but this was in the 80's so it was perfectly acceptable and, dare i say it, slightly stylish! :)
Posted by Emperor Wang 8/19/2005 9:02 PM | remove
Avacado couloured appliances... bleach! Thank god the '70s are behind us, eh?
Posted by lost 8/19/2005 9:20 PM | remove
I still know people with bathroom suites like this. Yikes.

Who puts carpet in a bedroom? Yuck!
Posted by Slickis 10/2/2005 5:02 AM | remove
  Huh?
Posted by atomx 10/4/2005 6:39 PM | remove
who puts carpet in a BATHroom maybe? the british, usually.
Posted by TurboZutek 10/4/2005 6:43 PM | remove
We also have an understanding about not pissing or shitting on the floor.
Posted by purplegrum 10/4/2005 8:30 PM | remove
As long as it has a rubber/foam back then it's no problem atomx.
Posted by atomx 10/5/2005 1:41 PM | remove
All toilets will spray up the contents when flushed. Even if your carefull the spray from men urinating standing up will spray, and mold will grow on carpet.

Even with rubber backed carpets in funeral homes they need to be replaced every so often with the number of people going through them.
Posted by TurboZutek 10/5/2005 6:35 PM | remove
Hmmmm... That's odd, because I had a carpeted bathroom for 10 years... No mould, no mess, no problem.

If you were to put a normal 'non bathroom' carpet in there though...
Posted by atomx 10/5/2005 8:59 PM | remove
Or if you were to put ceramic, or porcelain tile that'd look better and last 100 years or more, if you choose the right tile (fads and such).
Posted by TurboZutek 10/5/2005 9:31 PM | remove
Or if I was to make my bathroom out of stainless steel, or gold, or moulded plastic, or varnished wood, or a horse...

Now now, that'll do. We can make the budgie sing, or we can let the rats divulge it to us. We can't do both and you would be well to remember that.

We worked the dogs into the night, knitting ironing board covers for the professor.

If we had know then what we know now, oh lord - we would have put the kettle in front of the doormat.

God, we would have!
