  Were these pics used by newspapers? That's why the are crop marks?

  in 1942, if it was for a newspaper, which I think it was according to the cropping marks, well, they wanted to promote the war effort so of course, they wanted as much tanks as possible in the picture and nothing else. So the pic would be more impressive and more "war effort" oriented.

  the loblaws just nrth of sherbrooke east, they were shut down in 1992, a great number of the CPRs rolling stock was born of this facility

  You can find the site still easily today, look for "Angus" estate developments, condos, townhouses... stuff with Angus in the name of it.

  my dad worked at Angus Yards and everyday someone was making reference to his head being the shape of a square.

  A friend of mine's son is a military mechanic and is in town reparing vehicles that were in Afghanistan and he is in the east end--- tempting to believe it s around here:P

  there is crop marks because cropping down is the way to go when you have large format camera: you can't zoom with a LF so you take a picture and you can crop it as you wish you won't loose quality.
