This building (Gare Bonaventure), built in 1847 burned down to the ground in 1916. That's why it's not there anymore.

it was replaced by the recently torn down CN express building. The shape of the new ETS building actually has to do with bonaventure station. The parcel of land it is on was a small peice of land in the mountain/peel st-james/notre dame square that was never owned by the grand trunk. During the negotiations for labatt park it was one of the holding points. the entire parcel was owned by canada lands except the corner, and molson was holding out for a lot more money (im sure they werent happy thier land was being used for a ballpark named for thier compettitor)
