Maybe in some operating mills, the man lifts still are running. But we cannot see those.... Posted by nateg20 12/23/2010 4:25 AM | remove   yeah these are still in place in a lot of mills, you can't put a new one in but you can maintain the ones that exist. they move pretty slow. You're right about the rope. They also have a few other safetys in place, but they've probably caused more serious injuries/deaths than about anything else in this type of plant.
