The refinery as indicated on the 1977 topographical map. Compared to the aerial photo, it's obvious that little remains.

The large purple building in the upper right is my old high school. That is howI know a bit about this location. Never went in the house across the bridge. I think it was occupied then.

It is online. It's from Terraserver. http://terraserver.microsoft.com/
If you want to play with a really fun and fast online map, however, try http://mapper.acme.com. It allows you to switch between Google maps, Google's satellite imagery, Terraserver's topos and satellite imagery (often better in rural areas, but not in color), and gives you latitude and longitude and allows you to set Google markers that show on all five of the maps it offers. Really, really cool. Seicer pointed it out to me, and I fell in love.
