It's from Terraserver. http://terraserver.microsoft.com/ If you want to play with a really fun and fast online map, however, try http://mapper.acme.com. It allows you to switch between Google maps, Google's satellite imagery, Terraserver's topos and satellite imagery (often better in rural areas, but not in color), and gives you latitude and longitude and allows you to set Google markers that show on all five of the maps it offers.
