This would have been a great place, once. It's a shame it couldn't have been saved before...this. I wish more people would realize that once places like these are gone...they're gone forever. Pictures are great...but they don't replace being able to see these places in person.

That's somewhat how Lil-trouble felt. This was our second exploration together, and I was glad she felt the way I did about it. It's just sad that it couldn't be saved in time, and that few people even care. :-/

Yes, too bad for the school. Does the railroad still operate? They had some old Shay all-wheel-drive engines.

It does. We have several excursion railroads in WV now, including Cass. Apparently the lumber mill is still there too.
