Explain Red Adair? Hes semi famous in Texas a pioneer in oil field fire fighting technology, portrayed by John Wayne in the movie Hellfighters, went around the world eg; Kuwait to put out all those fires, he died a couple years ago from old age.

Associated with this location? Dunno he was not personally probably some of his company was several hard hats and some other gear like turnout coats for firefighting were found here.

From the BBC obit: "I've done made a deal with the devil," Adair said, according to AP. "He said he's going to give me an air-conditioned place when I go down there, if I go there, so I won't put all the fires out."

Dousing the fiery messes in Kuwait while well into his 70s? Sounds like he was one helluva character.

Thanks for the explanation, 2X.

I met Red Adair many times when I worked for Halliburton. He was a rough old reprobate but he was nice to those of us that had the pumps he needed lol.
