It was built in 1842 on Main Street and about 1870 was moved to its's present site on James Street by James A. Waldie. The Waldie family operated a Blacksmith's shop on the lot. It is currently occupied by Mrs. Waldie and her daughter Marsha. The old blacksmith shop has recently been renovated.
