The New Orleans Superdome had those in the 70s and 80s. I think there was a pedal you stepped on to turn on the water, which was like a fountain that went all the way around.

Yep. The ring at the bottom is the pedal. If you stepped on it in certain parts, it seemed to change the temperature of the water but I don't know if that was a function or a myth. I remember trying to find the "sweet spot" when I was a kid.

My dad's work still has those in their locker-rooms... I only remember one temperature, but I could be wrong.
